In my oils, I emphasize color, texture, and composition. With these elements as the foundation of all my paintings, I am able to capture more accurately the feeling of enveloping peace that nature provides me.  Colors have the ability to provoke intense emotions, and with color I convey how I feel nature: tranquil, restorative, powerful and yet forgiving.  With texture and composition I strive to create a level of intimacy that draws my viewers in-- that causes their glance to linger and to take one step closer.
